Responsibilities

This position is responsible for compiling, reviewing and authorizing employee payroll data through Dayforce Ceridian Payroll System as well as managing the day-to-day payroll and benefit process to ensure all staff are paid timely and accurately. This position is also responsible for various administrative duties within the department supporting all levels within the region, as well as customer service to field site staff while assisting with the payroll and benefit processes.


Payroll:

  • Process new hire, termination, transfers as staff changes occur
  • Initiate pay changes/increases as they occur after ensuring management approval
  • Assist employees with payroll inquiries and necessary changes
  • Review payroll data for accuracy, employee record changes, and management approval
  • Properly maintain employee personnel files, documentation, and database
  • Prepare and maintain periodic payroll reports
  • Activate new payroll profiles and assist employees with electronic Dayforce access
  • Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, local tax, wage and hour laws
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll related questions, inquiries, and concerns
  • Assist employees with inquiries related to Time and Attendance polices
  • Participate in Payroll/Benefit/HR planning, training, and meetings
  • Ensure compliance w/ company practices as well as local, state, federal laws and guidelines


Benefits / LOA:

  • Serve as a liaison between employees and Dallas Benefits Administration
  • Assist employees with benefit inquiries as they arise and provide guidance on our benefits
  • Collaborate internally to identify opportunities for best practices, efficiency, and continued program optimization
  • Assist employees needing to take a qualified Leave of Absence
  • Process paperwork and Coordinate with Dallas Benefits to ensure property tracking of Leave
  • Adhere to FMLA, ADAAA and WC guidelines, transmit documentation for employees taking extended leave
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Payroll & Benefits Administration
  • Familiarity and applied experience working with Ceridian Dayforce and/or other payroll software
  • Proficient w/ Microsoft Office suite (Outlook/Excel/Word), Specifically MS Excel
  • Capable of handling deadlines and pressure with ease while identifying high priority tasks
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality while safeguarding sensitive information
  • Must be able to enforcement company policies/procedures while maintaining positive demeanor
  • Ability to motivate others, foster a team environment while maintaining positive demeanor
  • High level of organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Resourceful, comfortable working with minimal direction
