Manufacturing and Design Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Responsible for drafting, designing, and interpreting engineering drawings in Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM software.
2. Compile all plan drawing updates and communicating to business contacts and providing updated production drawings.
3. Oversee steel framing and steel stud rolling equipment and operations on-site in the factory.
4. Partner with A/E design team to create and develop overall design concepts.
5. Responsible for the design and development or production drawings and coordinating the manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment.
6. Coordinates production drawings with A/E design packages, manages stud roller inputs (e.g., Tekla or Structsoft), analyzes and improves manufacturing processes and assures product and process quality.
7. Leads models from concept to production drawing stage.
8. Validates production drawings and stud roller inputs are updated as needed to support the production line and maximize process improvements.
9. Supervises the activities associated with manufacturing by reviewing project specifications, inspecting work, and overseeing factory personnel throughout the production process.
10. Participates in planning meetings, reviews and provides input into the project’s scope of work and specifications, and the timeline to ensure an on-time and on-budget project completion.
Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary. Once eligible, team members may participate in the 401k plan. Regular, full-time team members are also offered a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits from which to choose.
