HR Project Manager


Overview

The HR Project Manager will demonstrate the ability to work with the Human Resources leadership team as well as collaborate with other teams within the business. Key to this position is the ability to prioritize workload and maintain confidentiality of confidential and sensitive data.

The ideal candidate possesses solid project management skills, is well-organized, shows attention to detail and follows up relentlessly to ensure the right results.

In this role, the position will be focused on all aspects related to Project Management including best practices, structure, change management, organizing and leading HR and transformation related projects. The role will plan, lead, and manage cross-functional projects to improve capacity and efficiency across people, process, and technology.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day project tasks to lead assigned groups of stakeholders through project stages up through completion. This involves defining project scope, identifying resource requirements, creating project plans, and tracking progress.
  • Create and maintain project work schedules, track project requirements, and translate project requests into actionable project deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development of HR best practices ensuring consistency and scalability of outcomes and project deadlines.
  • Collaborates with broader HR team and other key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective solutions. Communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations to HR Leadership.
  • Act as information broker by directing communication to/from the team.

  • Nimble Learning – Learns quickly when facing new situations; experiments to find new solutions; extracts lessons learned from mistakes.
  • Being Resilient – Handles and manages crisis effectively; bounces back from setbacks; is confident under pressure.


Additional Requirements

  • 5+ years project / program management (using traditional or agile methodology) or consulting experience.
  • Proven success effectively implementing People initiatives, programs, tools, and/or processes.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; certification in Human Resources, Organizational Design or related field preferred.
