We are searching for a talented Data Visualization and Analytics Associate to be based out of Key Tower in Cleveland, OH. Overview: The Data Visualization and Analytics Associate will take the role of data developer and be responsible for the sourcing and structuring of data to design and deliver meaningful reporting, effective metrics and analytics, as visualizations in support of operational performance, portfolio investments, strategic objectives and innovation. This position will also serve as a key contributor in Master Data Management and data governance as well as act as a champion for existing or new products, services, tools and platforms to advance the overall analytics capabilities in Brookfield Multifamily and other entities. Cultural ambassador to support Multifamily Technology Vision in delivering best-in-class technology products and services driving, business value to Multifamily, Brookfield and our Residents. Responsibilities Design and Build â“ Design, build and deliver queries, reports, and visualizations in support of sector performance goals and aggregated investment returns, while adhering to best practices for design and data governance. Fulfil ad-hoc reporting requests and maintain recurring reporting needs. Partner with Data Scientists in experimental design, data quality (availability, accuracy, consistency, reliability) and implementation, whether through continued iterations or operationalizing via integrations or visualizations. Data Wrangling – Identify sources of data, analyze quality and utility of data, use various tools to ingest data and apply transformation logic to present datasets for consumption in reports and visualizations. Collaboration and Engagement â“Understand the organization’s data, definitions, use cases, and available reporting & analysis tools, as well as creating and providing training and formal documentation of delivered solutions. Act as a liaison between various business sectors and corporate to ensure seamless aggregation and integrity of financial and operations data for both consolidated investment returns and sector-level Board presentations. Data, Platform and Tool Management – Serve as a data steward to enable continuous improvement in data quality and influence the data governance framework surrounding the capture and consumption of critical data points. Evaluate and shape the business’s data infrastructure, inclusive of data-warehousing, reporting and analytics platforms and provide input to the organization’s data strategy and analytics roadmap. Actively participate in documentation of data, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) and data dictionaries. Qualifications This position requires an Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree in MIS, Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, or Business Intelligence is required. An additional degree that is preferred for this position includes: Master’s Degree. 1-2 years of experience in Development of queries, reports, and financial analyses/models in analytical positions is required. 1-2 years of experience in producing visualizations using excel, Power BI, Power Vi Paginated or others is required. 1-2 years of experience working with large datasets, and proficiency with data modeling/data is required. 1-2 years experience in information technology organizational experience is preferred. 1-2 years experience in REIT/Multifamily/Real Estate customer/team collaboration experience is preferred. Certification in discipline in Data Science and Microsoft Power BI/SQL is preferred.
