John Cullens John Cullens is the President and Founder of ApartmentCareers.com. Mr. Cullens began his career in property management in 1985. He assumed the role of vice president for a regional property management company in Dallas, Texas in 1988, and he was responsible for the management of over 4000 units in three states over the next four years. Mr. Cullens left the company to assume a regional partner role in the Dallas office for a national management company. He then became a partner and Chief Operating Officer for BG Personnel. During the next ten years BG Personnel became the largest staffing company specializing in apartment personnel in the country. At the time of his recent departure, BG was operating in six markets and employed over 2800 site level employees.

During his tenure at BG, Mr. Cullens also started two new ventures Prism Group and ApartmentCareers.com. Prism Group is an IT services and staffing company with offices in Colorado and Texas. ApartmentCareers.com is the most heavily trafficked internet job site catering to the apartment industry. The ApartmentCareers network of career centers includes the National Apartment Association Career Center along with other NAA affiliate sites including TAA, AAGD, AATC and NVSAA.

Mr. Cullens received the Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS) and the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designations from the National Apartment Association. Mr. Cullens also received the Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) designation awarded by the American Staffing Association. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas and the Texas Apartment Association.

He also currently represents AAGD and TAA as a delegate to National Apartment Association. John served as the Chairperson for the TAA Product Service Council in 2009/2010. John co-chaired the AAGD's PAC Events Committee and co founded the NAA PAC Fundraising event called the Challenge Cup. Through these activities he has helped raise over $750,000 for the Local, State, and National Apartment Association's PAC over the past 15 years. John received AAGD's 1998 President's Award in recognition of his efforts to raise awareness and funds for AAGD PAC activities.
