February 2012 is National Apartment Careers Month
February 2012 is National Apartment Careers month, and the NAA Education Institute (NAAEI) encourages all industry professionals to get creative, inspired and involved!
National Apartment Careers Month was created in 2010 to raise awareness about careers in the apartment industry. During this time, NAAEI looks to members to promote the benefits of building a career in the recession-resistant apartment industry. Any industry professional can participate, including apartment community staff, apartment management companies, hiring personnel and NAA affiliates.
This year’s event features a special "Get Reel" career video challenge. Participants can post a 30-second video on YouTube that shows a typical "day in the life" of a rental industry professional. One lucky winner will receive a conference registration, hotel accommodations and airfare to the 2012 NAA Conference and Exposition in Boston.
NAAEI has developed a variety of materials for the event and for year-round industry promotion. Materials include: a Participant Toolkit, with tips and timelines for participating in National Apartment Careers Month; a Workforce Development Packet for hiring managers, apartment management companies, and NAA affiliates and associations; brochures promoting careers in apartment maintenance, leasing and management; and the DVD "Careers in Apartment Management."
